Robin Welter designs unique manufactured volumes made with precision, rigor and flexibility.Between the future and the past, between machine and organic construction, these are structured and sensitive exceptional elements that reveal the invisible world of poetry and dreams.Robin Welter explores the idea of series and repetition to appropriate space and develop wave transmitters in it.His sculptures are solid, stable, but they also speak of the movement and irradiation of mysterious waves.Sculptures to travel, they seem to come from a future and at the same time they could be archaeological objects collected during a cosmic journey. The question of the modernity of his creations does not arise, they are independent and free of all chronologies. He chose simplicity for his materials, ingenious in his assemblages and poet for the functions of his machines. Each element is marked by the trace of manual labor. Each element is unique and yet contributes to the homogeneity of the entire volume. We are not here in an industrial art where the realization escapes the artist.X, November 2009.
